Annoyed At: Guys Who Give Up On Their Team
It annoys me when…
Guys give up on their teams before the end of the season. Granted, the NY Mets are all but mathematically out of contention as far as the 2014 season goes. They are (as of this writing) five games under .500 (which means they’ve lost five more games than they’ve won), 13 games out of first place in the NL East and 10 games out of a wild card spot.
But that doesn’t mean you start wearing a Jets jersey! Not with 15 games remaining on the schedule, no matter how potentially meaningless those games are. But that’s exactly what my co-worker, dear friend, and fellow transplanted New Yorker Rob Langer has done.
You won’t see us Yankees fans wearing a Giants jersey before the Yanks’ season is officially over, the last out has been recorded and Jeter has begun enjoying his retirement.
