Annoyed At: Hotel Satellite Outages
It annoys me when…
I’ve settled in after a long day on the road, ready for an evening of mindless vegging out in front of the tube and the hotel TV satellite goes out. It’s not bad enough that the channel offerings are pretty lame, and that the in-room channel directory is woefully out-of-date (see this entry), still.
But a few clouds and little rain appear and WHAM! The TV goes out. It’s 2014! Can’t we develop a mindless entertainment delivery system that’s at least semi-immune to the elements?
Thankfully, I have a laptop, a dependable (at least for the moment) semi-high-speed Internet connection and a subscription to Netflix.
