Good Friday Haiku
So much has been said and written about Good Friday, and yet there is still so much more to say. The cross was necessary for our salvation, purchased at the highest price.
This Haiku is my feeble attempt to express just an inkling of my thoughts and emotions that surround the events leading up and of that day. The good news for us is that Good Friday was not the end of the story.
Good Friday
This is Good Friday
Darkest hour known to man, makes
Light shine eternal
I can not begin to imagine the depths of the suffering, the pain and anguish the Savior experienced on this day that we call “Good.” But I have experienced peace and joy beyond measure because He was faithful to fulfill the promise of the Father.
As we celebrate the risen Lord, let us never forget what our reconciliation cost.
