A Change Is Coming

There’s an old saying about change:

The more same things, the more change they stay.

Or something like that.
(Here’s a brief musical interlude to enhance that last point.)

But seriously, we’re making a little change at The JOY FM. Shannon Steele, with whom I’ve hosted Prevenings Monday through Friday 3 PM – 7 PM for a little more than two years, has left The JOY FM. And Jayar and I will be swapping time slots. Beginning on Monday April 7, I’ll be on the air Monday through Friday 10 AM – 3 PM and Jayar will be on from 3 PM – 7 PM.

The more change stay, the more they same the things.

Or something like that.
(Here’s another little musical interlude to help you ponder that last statement.)

Jayar. I'm swapping time slots with him.
Jayar. I’m swapping time slots with him.

Change can be a funny thing. Sometimes it’s funny “ha ha.” Other times it’s funny “odd.” But it’s kind of constant, change is, which seems like a paradox if you think about it too hard. We all go through changes. People come into and go out of our lives. Some for a season, some for a lifetime. Sometimes change can be devastating.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Or something like that.
(One more musical interlude to help you digest that.)

The trick to persevering through all those changes is, of course, to put your faith in the one who never changes.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

This change in the on-air lineup at The JOY FM is going to be great. Jayar is a genius and I can’t think of a better way to wrap up a work day and the ride home than with him on the radio. And with me getting home a little earlier in the day, who knows, I may actually find a little more time to post more regularly here.
